Hot tub to calm your pet
Ofurô means “immersion bath” in Japanese. This word is derived from the term “furo,” which can be translated as “bathtub” in the Japanese language. The Pet Society’s dog Ofurô is made with a specific type of Cedarwood, which, when in contact with water, releases a pleasant nature-inspired scent. It maintains the water temperature, losing only 1ºC/hour, ensuring that your pet doesn’t feel cold.
The Ofurô is entirely handmade by Pet Society. The wooden pieces are manually cut and fitted one by one, without the use of nails or glue.
Benefits for pets
The Ofurô bath is a relaxation and rehabilitation method that improves blood circulation, accelerates metabolism, and aids in toxin elimination. It is recommended for cases of stress, agitation, pain, muscle contractions, bruises, and osteoarticular problems, serving as an excellent complementary resource to physiotherapy. The water temperature should be around 30ºC for invigorating baths and 36ºC for relaxing baths. The bath should last from 10 to 20 minutes.
By using bath crystals composed of essential oils, the Ofurô bath also provides aromatherapy, a therapy that complements other conventional or alternative therapies, using natural aromatic substances that promote well-being. Aromatherapy can be used for issues such as sadness, anxiety, depression, and general health problems.
Dog Ofurô: Bath Crystals
Pet Society offers two types of bath crystals, combining the properties of colors with olfactory sensations through the use of concentrated pure essential oils extracted from different parts of aromatic plants.
Relaxing (Blue Color): Contains essential oils of Chamomile and Lavender, promoting relaxation and well-being. Suitable for hyperactive and anxious animals.
Energizing (Orange Color): Contains essential oils of Tangerine and Cypress, promoting feelings of joy and energization. Suitable for less active animals.
Bath Time
Before taking the animal to the Ofurô, it needs to be bathed normally. Start the bath with Pet Society’s Hydra Odor Neutralizing Shampoo, which will help remove all dirt and neutralize unpleasant odors. Rinse. Then apply the Hydra Neutral Shampoo or the specific coat shampoo and rinse again. Finish with Hydra Brightness & Detangling Conditioner, rinsing thoroughly. After the bath, take the still-wet animal to the Ofurô with warm water (at 30ºC or 36ºC) and prepared with relaxing salts (Chamomile and Lavender) or energizing salts (Tangerine and Cypress). The procedure should suit each animal’s needs and be carried out in a quiet and cozy environment. The Ofurô bath should last from 10 to 20 minutes, and during this time, you can massage the animal’s skin to increase physical contact and the sensation of security and well-being.
Now that you know there’s an Ofurô to calm your pet, give it a try on your pet and see if they accept this “therapy.”
